Kaboul's Tottenham pride

Younes Kaboul knew he was at the right club when he first turned up for training at Spurs Lodge.

That was in July, 2007, when he joined us from Auxerre. He already knew all about Tottenham's ball-playing tradition but that was re-inforced ahead of his initial practice session.

"When I returned for my first day's training I brought my trainers with me but was told to put my boots on as we concentrate more on football than running. I liked that," he smiles.

Younes is the subject of our exclusive ‘Box2Box' feature in the October issue of Hotspur magazine where he talks about his early days in the game and stresses his optimism for the future.

He adds: "I am always optimistic because the whole club is set up for success. I have always been happy here and was delighted to have the chance to come back in January."

Read the full question-and-answer session in the current issue of Hotspur, our ever-popular official monthly magazines that also features Harry Redknapp, Sandro, Rafael van der Vaart, William Gallas, Ledley King, Peter Crouch, Stipe Pletikosa, Wilson Palacios, Ossie Ardiles, Glenn Hoddle and Gary Stevens plus our regular feature on the Double season's 50th anniversary.

And one lucky reader will win Sandro's signed match shirt in our free-to-enter competition. Answer just one easy question to have a chance to own this exclusive prize.
