Justin Edinburgh can't wait to take on his former club when our Spurs XI team travel to Grays Athletic for a friendly tonight (August 7).

Clive Allen takes his side to the Blue Square Premier (Conference) team for a 7.45pm kick-off at the Recreation Ground.

FA Trophy winners in 2005 and 2006, Grays are now managed by Justin, the full-back who played over 250 games for us between 1990 and 2000, winning the FA Cup and League Cup along the way.

"It's not often a club at our level gets the chance to take on someone like Spurs, so it's a big thing for the club and obviously for myself and my family," said Justin. "I'm sure it will be a great occasion at the Rec.

"In terms of the match, we know Spurs will come here and have a lot of possession and tactically we'll have to be switched on because players of their calibre can punish us.

"I've always maintained that playing is better than training, players get more out of it and we'll have to be on the top of our game collectively if we are to compete."

We'll have a squad later...
