The 21-year-old central defender arrived at Spurs Lodge for training this morning following his transfer from Auxerre, where the France Under-21 captain made 52 appearances.
His impressions were only positive and it is clear the strapping 6ft 2" Younes harbours ambitions that he fully believes can be realised in the white shirt.
"I am very happy to join Tottenham, it is big club and I hope everything goes well," he reacted. "I will give everything I have got to the club.
"I like the Premiership and Tottenham is the right club for me - now it is time to get on with it. The football in England is fast, I love the atmosphere and at Tottenham everything is here for us to succeed. I didn't hesitate in joining.
"It is now our turn to start playing and make it happen," added Younes, who was soon thinking ahead to the beginning of the new season.
"Every match is important for the club and we have to start the season well. This is what will set our position in the championship."
