Juande Ramos believes the team owe our fans a performance to be proud of in the London derby with Chelsea at The Lane tonight.

Juande Ramos believes the team owe our fans a performance to be proud of in the London derby with Chelsea at The Lane tonight.

We may be sitting mid-table in the Barclays Premier League with nine games to go while our opponents are chasing the title, but our Head Coach feels this should not make the game any less important for Spurs.

He is determined to prove to the loyal support that his side will be giving their all to finish the season on the strongest note possible.

Juande said: “We don't want to just let the season peter out – we want to finish as high up the League table as we can.

“Although points themselves are not as important as they were earlier in the season because of our league position, we are all professionals and we have a duty and we want to make sure we are giving our best, both the management and players, right to the end.

“We are at home and we will be trying our best to get a victory, even though there may be more at stake for Chelsea.

“They will be trying hard to get all three points because they want to be Champions, but we are at home and it is important to perform well in front of our fans.”

A quick note to fans - the Spurs Megastore will NOT be open after tonight's game...
