Juande Ramos is convinced we'll turn the corner on securing our first victory of the campaign - Wisla Krakow in the UEFA Cup on Thursday night the next target.

We step back into European competition against the Polish side in a first round, first leg encounter at the Lane, kick-off 8.10pm.

The lads are still looking for a first win after Aston Villa plundered maximum points in our latest Barclays Premier League match at the Lane on Monday night.

"It's essential we get that first win," said Juande. "I've every trust in the squad that they will go and do it but they have to go out there and prove it to everyone.

"We've made quite an irregular start to the season having lost three games but we've a young squad with plenty of quality and with calmness and experience we'll get a positive result. After that things will change for us.

"It's very early - we've only played four games and the season has only just begun.

"What's important is that we keep the spirit going, try and get that win and climb up the table."
