Joy and pain

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Paul Robinson and Jermain Defoe both started as England beat Azerbaijan to strengthen their World Cup qualifying position - but it looks a long road back for Simon Davies and Wales after defeat against Poland.

Goalkeeper Robbo completed a clean sheet double for England in the games against Wales and Azerbaijan as Michael Owen's header clinched three more vital qualifying points.

He made a couple of saves including a brave stop with his feet in a 50-50 challenge with Aliyev at the start of the second half. He also dealt with a fan that invaded the pitch towards the end of the game!

Jermain had a quiet night by his high recent standards and was replaced by Alan Smith after 55 minutes. Ledley King was an unused substitute.

England's win left them top of Group Six but Wales have been left eight points behind after the 3-2 home defeat against Poland.

Simon Davies completed the game and, once again, things looked to be going well for the Welsh when Robert Earnshaw put them 1-0 up minutes into the second half.

But strikes from Tomasz Frankowski, Maciej Zurawski and Jacek Krzynowek in the final 20 minutes turned the result on its head.

John Hartson pulled a goal back in injury time but it was too little, too late in Mark Hughes' last game as manager.
