On his appointment as Head Coach in November, Martin suggested that you should win eight out of 10 home matches.
Since losing out to Arsenal on November 15, we've played nine home matches in the Barclays Premiership - winning seven, drawing one and losing one.
So victory against in-form West Brom at the Lane on Wednesday night will make it eight out of 10.
"I said when I started about winning eight out of 10 home games and we are almost there," said Martin. "I knew our team and knew what I was saying - but if you want to have a very good team you have to win those games at home.
"I can remember the game against Chelsea, a penalty against Ledley King that was very harsh and apart from that, we haven't lost a home game for months now. We are confident at home. We get such a lift from the fans.
"The only disappointing thing is we haven't scored enough goals away from home, especially after creating so many chances.
"I'm satisfied now but I will be disappointed if we don't have anything to show for it at the end of the season."
