Martin Jol has again stressed the importance of the Carling Cup following our home draw against Port Vale.

A convincing 5-0 victory at Milton Keynes in the third round set up the last 16 clash against the Valiants at the Lane on Wednesday November 8, kick-off 8pm.

Ticket prices have been set at £25/£20 for adults and just £10 Juniors/Senior Citizens - make sure you are there to cheer the lads as they big for a place in the quarter-finals.

"I've always said this is an important competition for us," said Martin. "If you don't win the UEFA Cup or finish high enough in the league - hopefully we will - you then have to rely on the Carling Cup or FA Cup, it's not easy but still the shortest route back into Europe.

"We are pleased to have a home draw but we will take nothing for granted against Port Vale.

"It is important that we have as many fans in the ground as possible and I'm sure they will be there again, as they always are."
