JJ took his goal tally to two for the season with the crucial away goal in Prague and was at the heart of our best football in Sundays goalless draw against Fulham, particularly in the first half, when he sent over a stream of crosses from the right and set-pieces.
"JJ had one of his best games," said Martin after Fulham. "He never played hide and seek, he was there, he got his crosses in and the only thing is we have to try to find the spare player. If we do that, if we recognise those situations, we will link up better.
"He was very good against Slavia Prague and he takes responsibility now.
"We know it's not his favourite position on the right side, but it's our best option. He's doing well, he's scored goals and plays like an experienced player.
"We have to find our best midfield and sometimes that's not just about the best players but about the best combination."
Martin Jol was full of praise for Jermaine Jenas following the midfielder's performances against Slavia Prague and Fulham.
