Martin Jol is aiming to maintain our fine friendly form against a club he describes as 'one of the greatest ever' - Inter Milan at the Lane on Sunday.

The Serie A giants and recently-crowned champions of last season represent our toughest test to date in pre-season following victories against Bordeaux, Nice, Celta Viga, Birmingham and Stevenage.

Although it’s not entirely clear what names manager Roberto Mancini will send out, it’s a squad dripping with world-class talent – Adriano, Grosso, Toldo, Martins, Samuel, Solari, Zanetti and Figo to name a few.

Boss Martin said: “Inter Milan is a very good game for us, our first at home this season and we’re all looking forward to being back at White Hart Lane.

“They have great players and are one of the greatest clubs ever. Maybe their internationals are back, the likes of Adriano, and they have a terrific squad, so it’s a great test for us.

“At this stage it’s all about preparation, fitness, about winning and enjoying it. We have to be a productive team to do well against them but I can’t remember losing a game to international opponents.

“The lads are very proud to be Spurs players and want to do well for the club and that’s what they’ve shown in the friendly matches.

“Hopefully we’ll continue that against Inter and then away against Borussia Dortmund and then Real Sociedad at the Lane before the season starts.â€Â

Sunday’s friendly kicks-off at 3pm.
