Martin Jol is confident of a positive outcome when we travel to Middlesbrough for the vital Premiership clash on Saturday.
There is all to play for as the campaign enters its last two games, with us sitting in 7th place - just ahead of Boro on goal difference, thanks to last Sunday's 5-1 victory over Aston Villa. Ourselves, Boro, Villa and Manchester City are still in with a shout of competing in the UEFA Cup next season, while Martin points out that Bolton only hold a three point advantage in 6th place.
"We go to Middlesbrough, an away game, but we are pretty confident and need a result," reasoned the Head Coach. "If we can get a result it will go to the last game with all to play for. Manchester City are still in the frame with Middlesbrough having to go there.
"When you look at the league now, Bolton Wanderers are only three points ahead of us and it is a very exciting time."
Martin predicts it will be a challenging assignment against Steve McClaren's side who has a wealth of experience within his squad.
"They are a tough side to beat and have a good coach. They play a compact game and played a good style against Liverpool. Boro put four goals past West Brom which is why it was important we beat Villa 5-1.
"Hasselbaink is always there to score goals, Zenden in a good player and has won 60-70 caps for Holland.
"Downing is a very quick player, a good crosser of the ball and can score goals. Since Boateng has come back they have done better after having an indifferent spell. He is a very important player.
"You shouldn't forget Queudrue on the left, he is very good full-back. They are a very experienced team, but hopefully we will come out on top.
"Every away game is difficult, but I am still confident that we can get a result over there. We must still play two games and it is good to see we are on a high."
