Jermaine Jenas says the squad are determined to reverse recent fortunes. The midfielder - back to full fitness after an ankle injury, but unavailable through suspension for the trip to Fulham on Sunday - is confident winning ways will be returned to quickly due to the quality within the group of the players.

"We are not overly concerned about it because we know we have got the ability," reasoned JJ. "We have the belief in the squad to come through this bad spell. We are not hiding from the facts, we are completely aware it all and are determined to change it.

"Talent doesn't win you games, you've got to have more than that. We've got to continue developing the other side of our game.

"We would beat a lot of teams if it was just down to ability, we need to be stronger and more physical," he continued, before adding that the amount of games played by the team is not an issue in his mind and that there is much mileage left in this campaign.

"We are definitely still in contention with so many games to go and one thing we do have on our side is youth. We are capable of playing a lot of games because we are fit young players and the more games we play, the better."
