Goalscorer JJ made a point of praising the fans before going on to talk about his own part in the 1-0 win at the Stadion Evzena Rosickeho.
"They were magnificent," said the midfielder after emerging from the dressing room. "From the minute we went out to warm up they were in full voice and it felt like we were at home. It seemed like they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we are pleased to send them home in high spirits.
"It definitely makes a difference to us when you've got thousands of fans behind you and it was great."
JJ netted what turned out to be the winner in the 37th minute when he connected sweetly with the ball following good work from Didier Zokora. He said he knew the destination of his strike the moment the ball left his foot.
"I was happy with it. It came across nicely after what was a great run from Didier - I have got to give him credit - and it came to me perfectly.
"As soon as I hit it I knew it was going in and the keeper would struggle because it was a skiddy surface. It is never easy coming away in Europe no matter what opposition you are up against and I think the lads showed good character," he added, before agreeing that the win can only help in kick-starting our Premiership campaign, where Fulham provide the next opposition at the Lane on Sunday.
"I think so, we've been kind of up and down so far this season and hopefully getting a win in Europe will help get the ball rolling for us in the Premiership.
"Fulham had a great result at St James Park last weekend and not many teams do that away to Newcastle, so they will be coming to us with a lot of confidence - which we will have ourselves."
Jermaine Jenas paid tribute to the travelling Spurs thousands in Prague - describing the support as magnificent.
