It was a typically fast-moving and slick home performance, with the Blades having no answer to strikes from Dimitar Berbatov and JJ himself, who struck his eighth in our colours.
"Saturday was tough for us at Bolton so it was good to get back to winning ways," said JJ after the game, before reporting that the setting of a quick tempo was very much pre-planned.
"We knew Sheffield United would come here and make it difficult for us so we had to get into it quickly and make it hard for them. Not only did we do that, we were brave, got on the ball and created chances.
"The lads are delighted, we've got the three points on the board and can prepare for the next game now."
JJ is aiming to make his goal the first of many this term as he seeks to get into double figures from midfield. He did well to navigate the ball around Paddy Kenny in the Sheffield United goal due to the keeper advancing speedily from his line.
"He came out to my feet quickly and kind of made my mind up over what I was going to do. I managed to lift it over him and put it in for my first of the season.
"It is great, I can hopefully kick on now and get a good few more."
Jermaine Jenas believes it was a case of back to normal service when three points were deposited in our account following the win over Sheffield United.
