Posted on 14 April 2015  - 11:40

Tickets are flying off the shelf for Jimmy Greaves' return to the Lane - fans are advised to book as soon as possible if they want to attend the legendary former striker's induction into our Hall Of Fame on Wednesday, May 13.

Platinum Ticket Packages have already sold out for what will be an event to remember at White Hart Lane.

That leaves Gold (£200 plus VAT per person) and Silver (£150 plus VAT per person) - you can book yours now by FOLLOWING THIS LINK...

On hearing about the demand for his big night, Jimmy told us: "I’m delighted to hear so many fans are attending. It is going to a very special night so if there is anyone out there who hasn’t bought a ticket yet, they’d better be quick!

"I am really looking forward to being inducted into the Spurs Hall of Fame, joining so many great players in the Club’s history."

One of the greatest strikers in the history of the game, both here and globally, Jimmy tops our all-time goalscoring list with a staggering 266 goals in 379 appearances in the league, FA and League Cups and Europe. That total includes 220 goals in 321 league matches.

Bill Nicholson signed Jimmy from AC Milan in December, 1961, the striker joining the team that had just won the league and cup double and forming a lethal strike partnership with Bobby Smith.

Quick with superb control and positional sense, Jimmy was a natural goalscorer famed for coolly rolling the ball into the net rather than blasting it.

He scored in the final as we retained the FA Cup in 1962 and was on target again - this time scoring twice with Terry Dyson - as we beat Atletico Madrid to win the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1963.

Jimmy added another FA Cup in 1967 before his nine years at Spurs came to an end with a switch to West Ham.
