Jermain Defoe admitted to feeling the 'wow' factor after netting his 100th goal for the club on Saturday.
The striker's 25-yarder against West Brom was also the 100th Premier League goal of his career and, incredibly, also our 1,000 goal in the Premier League.
It was a goal worthy of winning any match - unfortunately, Simon Cox matched it to secure a 2-2 draw for West Brom in the 81st minute.
"It means a lot (to score 100 goals), especially at a club like Spurs," said Jermain.
"From day one, the fans have been fantastic to me and the lads, they’ve always just said ‘keep going’. I knew it was coming and when it went in, it was a great relief.
"It was one of those moments where you think ‘wow’, it’s happened. It was such a proud moment.
"Before the game, Azza said to me ‘you’re on 99, see if you can do it today’ and when you’ve got people around you like that, it’s fantastic."
Although delighted to hit his ton, JD was hit as hard as the rest of the lads at being hauled back to a 2-2 draw.
"It was disappointing not to get three points because every game is like a cup final at the moment," he said. "We need the points.
"Last season it was tight and we managed to do it. We’ve important games coming up and we’ll see what happens."
