The central defender is back in Belgium with compatriots Toby Alderweireld and Mousa Dembele for Matchday Three of our Europa League Group J campaign.
We currently sit top of the group while Anderlecht are yet to win, although they have lost just one in 11 domestically and sit third in the Belgian league.
“I know a lot about them,” said Jan, now capped 72 times by his country. “I try to follow the Belgian league as best as I can and speak to the players in the Belgian team.

“Anderlecht have ups and downs but they are a very good team with very good young players, especially in midfield. There are some good Belgian guys in there from the national team who I’ve played with.
“They are a positive side, they want to play football, want to play from the back, to press and they will do the same against us.”
Anderlecht showed what they can do in Europe with impressive performances against Arsenal in the group stage of the Champions League last season. They lost out to two late goals at home and then secured a 3-3 draw at the Emirates.
“They can beat the best teams but as I said, they have ups and downs,” added Jan.
"We can only concentrate on ourselves and we know if we can win there, it will be a great step towards getting into the next stage of the competition.”
