Jamie O'Hara won't forget the last week in a hurry.
The talented midfielder, only recently turned 17, followed up Saturday's fine performance as the U17s toppled rivals Arsenal with a goal just two minutes into his reserve debut!
Jamie replaced Stephane Dalmat on the hour with the reserves trailing 3-1 and with just about his first touch, drove into the corner from 20 yards.
A bundle of energy, he performed well as the lads dug out a 3-3 draw.
"The ball was there to be struck so I thought I'd give it a go and it went in for me," he reflected afterwards. "I was well pleased with that one.
"I'll keep plugging away and every time I get in there keep trying to do well and hopefully it will come off. I'm delighted with how it's going at the moment but I'll keep my head down and keep working hard."
Desperate to impress when the reserve call comes, Jamie is well aware of the need to balance that with doing the simple things.
"You have to produce something if it's there but if not, keep it simple," he said. "I thought I got the chance and had a go if it's not there, keep it simple and it will be there eventually."
