Jamie is in the squad for our UEFA Cup Round of 32 first leg at Slavia Prague and with fellow middle man Kevin-Prince Boateng injured, must have a chance of making his first European appearance.
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and all players want to test themselves on the biggest stage - European football is the big stage,” said Jamie after training at Slavia’s Stadion Evzena Rosickeho on Wednesday night.
“I think my game will be suited to European football as it tends to be a passing game and I like to get the ball down and play.
“It would be great to be involved, the pitch looks like it will play well and it would be ideal to get out there and try to make something happen.
“We know Slavia are a good side, they’ve played Champions League this season and it will be a tough game, but we’re all looking forward to it.
“The team is confident at the moment and we’re looking to take a positive result into the second leg at White Hart Lane.”
