The midfielder played the second half at Stevenage and pretty much dictated matters in the centre of the park along with Simon Davies and was happy with a lively performance.
"I felt good and enjoyed it," said Jamie at Spurs Lodge on Monday. "It's nice to get the first game under the belt and I'm loving it at the moment.
"It will be nice to go on and get more games and get sharper and sharper.
"I just want to do well, I'm really enjoying myself at the club. The lads are great and the staff's good - everything is just right and it's up to me to do the business now."
The former Liverpool captain admits he is chomping at the bit for the Premiership action to get underway, having gone through a frustrating couple of seasons playing-wise at Anfield.
"Exactly. I'm looking forward to getting through all the pre-season stuff and moving onto the season."
Jamie Redknapp says he is 'loving it' at Spurs and can't wait for the season proper to begin.
