The midfielder capped a fortnight to remember with another sweet volley to secure all three points in the 1-0 win against Aston Villa on Saturday.
In that time the 29-year-old has marked his home debut in the friendly againt Lazio with one of the best goals seen at the Lane in years, completed his competitive debut and first 90 minutes for us at Everton and now his competitive home debut with his first Premiership strike for almost a year.
And what a strike. Milenko Acimovic's free-kick was only half-cleared and Jamie, with the giant frame of Peter Crouch rushing at him, controlled, flick the ball up and despatched his dipping volley into the corner from 20 yards.
"It was a great feeling," said a delighted Jamie afterwards. "I couldn't quite get it out of my feet to be honest, saw Crouch coming towards and thought 'just have a dig'.
"It was a big game for us because I felt we needed to get off to a good start.
"Personally, I couldn't be happier, a perfect start. I'm really enjoying myself. Things have gone well for me, couldn't really have gone better. If it keeps going like this I'll be more than happy.
"To get the winner in my home debut for the club in the Premiership, well, that's a dream come true really."
