Jamie O'Hara has described the feeling after scoring his first goal for the Club against Slavia Prague last night. He opened the scoring in the seventh minute of our UEFA Cup Round of 32 Second Leg clash to mark another milestone on his incredible journey over the last two months.

And even though his shot took a slight deflection on its way into the net, Jamie insists it took nothing away from the moment.

He said: “It’s unbelievable. I was just buzzing to be starting the game, and I thought I started quite well and thought I might be able to get a goal given the chance.

“It sat up perfectly for me, and although it took a deflection and the lads are trying to say it was an own goal, I’m claiming it!

“It was an unbelievable feeling when it hit the back of the net and the adrenaline was going mad.

“To score at home in front of all the fans was also great. It’s been an unbelievable journey for me up to this point and I’m relishing every moment.

“I’m a passionate lad so when I score I just lose it, and I just ran to the fans with my hands in the air. It was a great moment for me.”
