The Canaries - including one Gary Doherty in their number - visit the Lane on Sunday for the Sky Sports televised encounter and, while Jamie would love to simply turn up and bank the points, he knows the team face a battle to secure them.
"Of course it would great to get up to 11 points," said the skipper. "It is hard though and you have to be realistic, they are not going to come and roll over.
"They have a good team spirit, Nigel Worthington has done a great job for them. Gary Doherty coming back is going to want to prove a point, Darren Huckerby up front is very quick.
"They have got a threat, but we have got to look at it and feel that we've got a threat. I think it is important that we get those points that we need."
Jamie admits that he is slightly surprised, although delighted, over our start to the season and feels the supporters are really backing the team to the hilt.
"After pre-season if you had told me we would start as well as we have I would certainly have taken it. It is just important we don't let is slip as it has been a problem in the last few years with us letting it drop after a run.
"I could sense at the Birmingham game that the fans were excited about things and really behind us. That gives us such a lift as well."
Jamie Redknapp warns not to underestimate the threat posed by Norwich City - nor that of our own team at the moment.
