Jamie Redknapp admits he was touched when Stephen Carr handed him back the captain's armband on his return against Newcastle.
It was the midfielder's comeback after five months out through injury and underlined the lads' respect for him.
"It's hard being captain when you are not playing," Jamie said. "When I came back in the Newcastle game Carry gave me the armband and that was a really nice moment. I didn't expect that.
"Carry's done well and done a great job as captain, the lads respect him and he's a good player, great professional and that was a nice gesture from him. That meant a lot."
