Jamie O'Hara admits the reception he received from our fans at White Hart Lane last night gave him goosebumps.

The midfielder, who was unfortunate enough to miss a penalty in our Carling Cup Final defeat against Manchester United on Sunday, was cheered from start to finish by the home support during the 4-0 win over Middlesbrough.

Jamie, who came on as a second half substitute, has expressed how much the acknowledgement means to him after what was a difficult experience at Wembley.

And now, with the backing of our fans, he believes he can turn the ordeal into a positive as he promises to continue to give his all for the Club he loves.

"The reception from the fans was pretty amazing," said the 22-year-old. "It really made me feel part of the Club and all its tradition. It gave me goosebumps to be honest.

"I love the Club and will give 100 per cent every time I go on the pitch, so the reception meant so much to me.

"Sunday was difficult. Nobody wants to miss a penalty on such a big occasion, and I was disappointed, but I believe it will make me stronger mentally.

"It's part and parcel of being a footballer at this level. You're going to make mistakes, you've just got to be strong enough to deal with them."

And the night was made even more special for Jamie as the team picked up a crucial three Premier League points in convincing fashion.

"The result meant so much to the boys. Everyone can feel the confidence running through the side at the moment and I think we can really push on now.

"It was a fantastic way to recover from the cup final to win 4-0, and it's great for all the boys."
