He said: “It’s a tough game but a massive game for us at the same time because if we can get a win up there and get our league form together, we’ll be going into a lot of up-coming games in a good frame of mind and hopefully we can finish the season strongly.
“Everton are a strong side and they’ve got good players all over the park, but we’ve got all the qualities of a team that could qualify for Europe, so there’s no reason we can’t beat them.
“I think we’ve got to take every game as it comes, and this is a new game. We’ve just got to go out there, play the way the gaffer wants us to play, and get a result.”
Jamie goes into tonight’s clash in great form, having performed well in an unfamiliar left-back role against current Player of the Year Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford on Sunday.
He added: “I’m just taking the whole thing as a massive experience at the moment and I just want to play as many games as possible, keep doing well for the team and keep trying to impress the manager.”
