Jamie Redknapp has no doubts that his former team-mate Danny Murphy will make a success of his move to Charlton.
The midfielder joined the Addicks from Liverpool in the summer and has started to show his true colours after an indifferent start at the Valley.
Capped eight times by England, Jamie speaks highly of a player he enjoyed five years with at Anfield.
"Danny is a good player and I've got a lot of time for him," said Jamie. "He's a good footballer and was a successful player at Liverpool.
"He can see a pass as well as anyone, good vision and slips the ball through to people.
"He can play, has good ability and I thought him and Steven Gerrard were a good partnership last season.
"Danny scored a lot of important goals for Liverpool - mostly against Manchester United - so we'll have to keep our eye on him, that's for sure.
"I'm sure things haven't gone as well as he would have hoped so far at Charlton but in time he'll be a success."
