Jamie Redknapp feels that getting a positive result against Chelsea on Sunday is vital towards our aim of remaining in the top six of the Premiership.
The unfortunate defeat to Liverpool last weekend saw us drop from third to fifth and the top of the table is a congested area with teams poised to take advantage of any prolonged slip-ups.
Sitting pretty in the Premiership also adds confidence to players and fans heading into big games against the likely title challengers.
"Exactly," agreed Jamie. "That's why it's important that we work hard and get the result on Sunday.
"It's important that we don't lose again. We've got a tough run of games coming up and we want to make sure we take the three points as much as we can."
Jamie is aware of the recent history of this fixture and, from his days at Liverpool, knows that Chelsea present a stiff challenge. While Liverpool had a good record at Anfield against the blues, in recent times they received a ritual thumping at Stamford Bridge.
His first meeting with Chelsea in a Spurs shirt is on home territory and Jamie is determined that we bounce back from the Anfield disappointment.
"It's a good tough game for us. They've had a good record against us so we're looking to turn that around.
"It's always a hard game against Chelsea, they've got a lot of good players with experience.
"We're looking forward to it though, we're playing well and are at home. It is important we bounce back, I thought the result on Saturday against Liverpool was a little bit unfortunate and we deserved something."
