The frustration of the skipper and the rest of the team was only increased by the fact that they were unable to build on the success achieved in the last two games.
"We're so disappointed," said the midfielder. "Especially after the last two games, we felt we got some good results, but it didn't happen for us here at all.
"It's frustrating because of the Liverpool game and the Leeds game last week, where we played so well.
"We just didn't perform and there are no excuses. We just let ourselves down and didn't deserve anything."
Jamie also lamented the fact that there is now a two-week gap before the next chance comes along to put things right.
"You want to go and play your next game but, unfortunately, we can't. We've got two weeks to reflect on it now and that is a nightmare. That's life though and we've got to get on with it."
Jamie Redknapp insisted that there were no excuses after suffering the home loss to Fulham on Saturday.
