Jamie Redknapp sees Everton as the surprise team of the Premiership so far.
The skipper watched the Goodison outfit win at Portsmouth last week and was impressed with what he saw as they climbed to third in the table.
"I thought they did very well at Portsmouth," Jamie reported. "They play five in midfield, get man behind the ball, Marcus Bent up front on his own and they have good players who can do things like Gravesen and Cahill, who has scored a couple of goals.
"The crowd will be up for it because they are ahead of Liverpool at the moment and that's a big thing up there.
"They have 16 points already and that's a great start for them because a lot of people were writing them off in the summer.
"Fair play to them, they are organised, disciplined, hard to break down and the likes of David Weir who has been a top professional for a number of years but looks as fit as ever. It will be tough."
