Harry Redknapp was impressed with Jake Livermore’s contribution in Saturday’s 3-2 friendly win at Brighton.
The youngster started in central midfield alongside Jermaine Jenas and struck the crossbar in the first half before grabbing the winner in the second half at the all-new Amex Stadium.
Jake robbed goalkeeper Peter Brezovan of possession in the penalty before calmly slotting home for 3-2 in the 69th minute.
“Jake is a lad with great attitude, wants to be a player, works hard, is a smashing boy and we hope he has a chance,” said Harry.
“When I came here people had written him off a bit but I liked him from day one and it would be great if he could make it here at Tottenham.”
