WHAT pleased me most about Saturday's win against Birmingham City was our fighting spirit. When it was difficult, we stuck together and that's very important.
I know my team was tired but we played together. We have a young team with new players and to have that fighting spirit is good news for the future. Birmingham are a good team with good players. The team put in a lot of effort and it was important to keep the run going.
I have to say I'm very happy with our start to the season. It's been a difficult period for this young team with many new players but they have put together four good performances.
The team is very tired because we put in a lot of effort at Newcastle and West Brom and it's good to have eight points at this stage.
Now we are split into two parts - eight or nine in London, eight or 10 leave for international games. September is a difficult month because we have four games in the championship plus the Carling Cup. Hopefully the international players will come back with confidence and not injured.
