THE WIN at Oldham was a good result for the team and our fans.
I was happy for everyone but particularly Kasey Keller, Mabizela, Bunjevcevic and Gardner, four players who have not yet started in the Premiership this season. It was important they got a game.
We are taking the Carling Cup very seriously. We are a team with new players, a new manager and new assistant coaches, so it is important for all of us.
We knew before the game that we had a good chance to win it and although we had a good first half, we didn't have many chances. One goal would have been a good result but once Robbie scored the second goal it was very easy for us.
In the cup when you score two or three goals you know the opponents think it's not possible to win the game and it doesn't matter then if you lose three, four or five goals.
We were patient and it was an important result for my players and our fans.
