Jermain Defoe twice gave us the lead but we were pegged back by a determined side managed by former Spur Peter Taylor, featuring Alton Thelwell and Nicky Barmby.
A frustration for Jacques is the non-availability of several senior players as he seeks to formulate his plans for the forthcoming season.
"For us the game was good because we are only two weeks into our preparation, but we do have three or four of our players out with injury," commented the Head Coach after the game.
"It is difficult to prepare for the season without these players - Mauricio Taricco, Simon Davies and Michael Brown are carrying injuries. This was also the first match for Anthony Gardner, Ledley King and Paul Robinson.
"We are looking towards the beginning of the championship and I hope that the players will be in good form and fitness for the first match against Liverpool."
Jacques Santini declared himself happy with the tough work-out Hull City provided at this stage of the pre-season programme.
