Pat Holland is delighted with the timely return to fitness of Jacques Maghoma.
The midfielder scored a stunning goal as our Under-18s lost 2-1 at Reading at the weekend in his first action since the FA Youth Cup win against Everton.
He's now back in contention for Thursday's massive FA Youth Cup quarter-final at Watford.
"Jacques was a fixture in central midfield but he had a poor tackle against Birmingham, an ankle problem and then his Achilles flared up against Liverpool," explained coach Pat.
"He's done hardly any training at all but he's a naturally fit boy.
"With that injury Stewart Lewis went into that central position and did well so Jacques now finds himself trying to occupy a wide position.
"In fairness to the boy, he's got good ability and I think he can do a good job for us there even though his favourite position is central midfield.
"In terms of doing the team a job, which happens in cup football, I think we can benefit from him being out there."
