Our training break in Dubai has capped a memorable couple of weeks for Johnnie Jackson.
Having won a place in the squad and team, he's scored a clinching first Premiership goal in our 4-2 win at Charlton, was then at fault for a goal against Leicester City and has now been on his first long-distance trip away with the lads.
"It's been brilliant," said Jacko, pictured recovering during a training session in the 80C heat out here. "It was nice to get away from it all, we've trained hard, all the lads have been together and it's ideal for team bonding.
"I don't think you could get a better setting for that. Everyone has been together, staff as well, and it can only help in the overall picture."
Not that Jacko needed a trip to the sun. "I've been enjoying it anyway because I've been playing," he added.
"But the games have been unbelievable. Even the most experienced players have said they've never seen anything like it, scoring so many goals but conceding them as well.
"Personally, I'm playing in the first team for a Premiership club and you have to enjoy that. It's great to be involved."
