Jacko's on song

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

John Jackson couldn't be accused of not sticking to his side of the bargain as he tries to impress in the final year of his current contract.

Skipper for the reserves this season, he's responded with a string of impressive displays in midfield.

His form continued on Wednesday night with two goals in the reserves' 3-3 draw against Watford - banging home a late penalty to grab a point.

'Jacko' put in the extra hours in the summer and it appears to be paying dividends.

"I think I'm playing well," he said. "I scored a couple of goals and I told myself before the game that I wanted to get on the scoresheet again.

"All I can do is keep doing as well as I can in the reserves and hopefully the rewards will follow."

Jacko admitted the team performance wasn't good enough as we slipped 2-0 and 3-1 behind at Stevenage Borough.

"It went okay in the end," he added. "We all knew we weren't good enough in the first half, came in at hal-time and Chris Hughton said we had to up the tempo.

"We tried to pass it better, pass from the back and make them work more. We actually darted sloppy again, conceded the third but we deserved a point for the last half-hour."
