Johnnie Jackson takes the first step towards returning from injury on Monday night as substitute for the reserves against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, kick-off 7pm.

The young midfielder has been missing since the opening weeks of the season after suffering from tendonitis in both knees. He is now on the verge of making a comeback, on the bench along with Steven Ferguson who has been out with dental problems.

Ben Thatcher is in the starting line-up with Alton Thelwell and John Piercy captains the side from midfield.

The remainder of the team is filled by young players, Steven Kelly and Paul O'Donoghue in defence, Ben Bowditch, George Snee and David Galbraith in midfield, while Yannick Kamanan spearheads the attack.
