'Jacko', an England under-18 regular, cemented a place in the second string towards the end of last term, as well as featuring for our under-19 side.
He was also included in several senior squads late in the season as injuries bit deep into our resources and the club have move swiftly to secure his services for the long term.
First team coach Chris Hughton said of our gifted and combative left-footer: "We asked for progress from him and he has — and he is certainly one of our better young players there is no doubt.
"He is a left sided player with a lovely left foot. We look forward to him working with the reserve group and if that comes with England honours next season, great, but the biggest priority is him training with the reserves full-time and then we can see his progress.
"Certainly over the last couple of seasons he has made big strides, hence, he’s very much a regular for England."

Midfielder Johnnie Jackson, one of the rising stars to emerge from our reserve side, has signed a new extended contract with the club.
