Jacko on turning point

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Johnnie Jackson insists the creditable point secured against Arsenal must act as a catalyst for a positive finish to the campaign - starting at Aston Villa today.

It has been a disappointing spell for the team since the lengthy break that followed the Leicester game at the Lane on February 22 - with only five points being gathered since that date.

Some pride and belief was restored at the Lane on Sunday and the young midfielder says this must be carried forward into this weekend's trip to Aston Villa and beyond.

"Definitely, we've got three games and we want to get nine points from them," he stated, conceding that it is easier to say than do. "We've drawn against the Champions so there is no reason why we can't push on.

"It is easy to say we've drawn with Arsenal so we should beat the others, but it doesn't always work like that.

"It should be a confidence booster though, we know if we play our best we are capable of competing with the best teams. It is just about carrying it on."

Meanwhile, Johnnie is likely to catch up with an old mate on Sunday at Villa Park. Former Spurs youth product Peter Crouch is doing well for David O'Leary's side and netted the winner against Middlesbrough last Saturday.

"He has always been a good player and I always thought he had a future," added Johnnie of the player who was one year above him in the Academy. "He's gone off and done his own thing and has been very successful.

"I think he has come on a lot, he is Premiership striker now and a real threat.

"He has scored a few goals and did well on loan at Norwich earlier this season. He's back at Villa now, has scored a few and got the winner at the weekend. Good luck to him.

"For a big man he has got good feet. His one weakness is that he is probably not the strongest, but his height is such an advantage and he is always going to be a danger in the air."
