Jermaine Defoe told Spurs Lodge why he ran the length of the field to celebrate with Paul Robinson after his cracker against Crystal Palace.
The striker explained: "Robbo said to me at half-time 'keep going J, you'll get a goal' and he started laughing. I asked him why he was laughing and he said 'make sure when you score you come running down to me' and I told him if I had the energy, I would. He's a great mate, so I did!"
Unfortunately, Jermain's 10th league goal and 15th in all competitions was wiped out by Andy Johnson's equaliser in the 1-1 draw.
He added: "We managed to score first and went after the second goal but it just didn't happen for us. As I said, we're all disappointed, but I thought Palace did well and at the end of the day, we didn't lose the game. Perhaps it was a fair result overall."
