Our Norwegian striker hobbled back into Spurs Lodge on Thursday afternoon on crutches after suffering the injury in the first minute of the World Cup qualifier against Wales.
Early scans have not showed a break but Glenn was taking no chances.
“Steffen’s had X-rays out there (in Norway) and they have showed no suggestion of a break,” said Glenn. “But we’ll give him intensive scans today to make sure that is true.
“It doesn’t sound too good from what the player has said.
“We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it isn’t the worst but we’ve got to make sure we check that.
“There is obviously some damage there and that is a massive blow to us, especially with losing the other players as well.”
Glenn Hoddle is waiting anxiously for results of scans to confirm Steffen Iversen has not broken his ankle.
