Banter in the snow at Spurs Lodge - and Ugg boots? It's all on Xtra...

It's turned a bit UGG-ly!

Snow can only mean one thing in a football club/training ground environment.

And it was no different at Spurs Lodge on Tuesday.

In fact, it will go down as a classic day on Spurs Xtra.

It has to be said, if someone had mentioned to Xtra after beating Liverpool on Sunday that we'd be talking about Ugg boots and a snowman in the passenger seat of a player's car on Tuesday, Xtra would have wondered what planet you were from.

But that's exactly what we've got for you today!

Snow had fallen overnight, settled and continued to fall throughout the day here at the Lodge as temperatures barely lifted above freezing.

That provided the lads with the perfect ammunition for a birthday surprise for Alan Hutton - a snowman rolled to perfection and placed in his passenger seat!

The full-back took it all with a smile and to be fair, it was banter with a conscience from the lads - they'd put it on a towel!

Here's the snowman in all his glory - belted up, of course!

NEVER ONE to shirk responsibilities, Xtra next braved the inevitable snowball battering to take pictures of the lads going out to training.

But it was oh so worth it as David Bentley came running out to train, fully kitted up - but wearing a pair of Ugg boots!

As it turned out, the boots belonged to Michael Dawson, who caught up with the prankster to claim his prized boots back!

Michael later told Xtra that he'd got plenty of stick for wearing the winter warmers...

"I've actually had them for a while now," he said. "But the snow came down and it seemed like the right time to wear them!

"To be fair, the lads have bantered me all day about them but I don't care, I've just arrived home after training and I can report my feet are lovely and warm."

So there you go, Spurs and England centre-half, leader, all-round top man - and Ugg boot fan - Michael Dawson!
