Benoit Assou-Ekotto has joined the chorus of approval for Scott Parker.
The midfielder has been a revelation since arriving at the club on transfer deadline day.
Since then, he’s played eight times in the Premier League, winning seven and drawing one as we’ve stormed up to fifth in the table.
Such has been his impact that Scott has been voted Player of the Month in his first two months as a Spurs player by fans on Spurs Xtra, Twitter and Facebook.
He took his form onto the international stage on Saturday, when another outstanding display earned him the Man of the Match award as England toppled world and European champions Spain at Wembley.
“Scott is doing a great job in central midfield,” said Benoit. “He runs everywhere and gives everything every game.
“Everyone knows how important the midfield is in a game, so when he is in great form, so are we.
“For the first game, maybe he didn’t know everyone, but after that it was like he’d been here 10 years.
“He brings with him a positive attitude and a leader’s attitude.
“When we watch him, he has a great attitude and we can see that on the pitch. For us, he’s been a big positive.”
