But the reaction from the dressing room at Upton Park was that the players wanted to enjoy Sunday's memorable victory over West Ham rather than worry about the Gunners.
Midfielder Stephen Clemence summed it up when he admitted: "We're not thinking about who we’re playing and we don’t even know where we’re playing yet. It’s another London derby and we’re happy to be there but we’ll enjoy this before we start thinking about that."
Boss George Graham, who will no doubt be centre of attention at the tie approaches, said: " I’m not worried about the game, I’m just delighted we’re in the semi-final.
"We’ve won three games away from home and we’re not an away team. We’re scoring goals as well. It’s another London club — perhaps that’s an omen. But I don’t believe in omens."
Sunday's thrilling win at West Ham set up an intriguing semi-final tie against rivals Arsenal on Sunday April 8.
