The big defender struck home via a deflection to secure a last-gap win for us against West Ham on Saturtday.
However, his team-mates have already been ribbing him that the goal might be taken away - the shot has to be on target, otherwise deflected goals go down as an own goal.
Replays show Anthony's shot appeared to be on target, but that hasn't stopped the stick!
Anthony revealed: "I'm already getting stick from the lads who are saying it was going miles wide but it was on target and I'm claiming it!
"To be honest, I was just looking to get it down and feed the ball into someone's feet but no-one came to me, don't know why, so when I got to within 25 yards I thought I had to have a go.
"I did and luckily it got a deflection to take it in. I'm definitely claiming it though! It was on target!"
Anthony's defensive partner Dean Richards added: "I said to him if it was me in that position I would have stuck it out wide and tried to get on the end of a cross.
"Fair play to him. He strode on and I've seen him hit a couple over the bar before but he kept it down and got his luck. He deserved it. He's played well this season but he was a bit down after Fulham. He responded well."
You won't catch Anthony Gardner giving up his first goal for Spurs lightly.
