Eric scored his third goal in 20 caps as England came from 1-0 down to beat Slovakia 2-1 at Wembley.
He was joined in the starting line-up by team-mates Harry Kane and Dele Alli. Eric and Harry completed the full match with Dele substituted with seconds left.
Eric produced a fine finish to equalise on 37 minutes after Slovakia started well and scored inside three minutes through Stanislav Lobotka. He darted to the near post to meet Marcus Rashford's low corner and turn the ball into the top corner.

Slovakia could have overtaken England at the top of the group with a victory - only group winners progress straight to Russia - but Eric's goal proved a turning point. England impressed in the second half and Rashford fired home a worthy winner on 59 minutes.
England are now five points clear in Group F and need one more victory from their final two qualifying matches against Slovenia (October 5, Wembley) or Lithuania (October 8, Vilnuis) to make absolutely sure of their place in the finals in Russia.
Meanwhile, Christian followed up his magnificent display in what could be Denmark's defining win in qualification - Friday's 4-0 success over Group E leaders Poland - with another goal and assist in a 4-1 win against Armenia.
The in-form playmaker scored a trademark free-kick from 25 yards as the Danes came from 1-0 down in Yerevan.
It's a three-way battle between Poland, Denmark and Montenegro in Group E. Poland remain top after beating Kazakhstan 3-0 and Denmark have moved above Montenegro on goal difference into second place, both teams just one point behind Poland with two matches remaining. Interestingly, Montenegro's final matches are against Denmark and Poland - the key fixture for Christian is next up in Podgorica on October 5. Denmark finish against Romania in Copenhagen on October 8.
Elsewhere on Monday, Marcus Edwards was a 76th-minute substitute as England Under-20s drew 0-0 in Switzerland.
