Jan Vertonghen started and completed the full 90 minutes as Belgium ran out 4-3 winners against Hugo's French side.

Nacer Chadli (on 77 minutes) and Mousa Dembele (on 81) joined the action off the bench in the second half, meaning all four Spurs representatives were on the pitch.

The Red Devils raced into a 4-1 lead thanks to goals from Marouane Fellaini (2), Radja Nainggolan and Eden Hazard. France made the scoreline more respectable with two late strikes for 4-3.

Belgium now travel to the UK and a key Euro 2016 qualifier against Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday (7.45pm).

Andros Townsend earned his eighth cap for England provided a rare spark in an uneventful friendly against the Republic of Ireland at the Aviva Stadium. MONDAY'S ACTION

Christian Eriksen's Denmark face a friendly against Montenegro in Copenhagen tonight (7pm) before an important Euro 2016 qualifier against Serbia at home on Saturday (7.45p).

Meanwhile, Kyle Walker-Peters and Luke Amos are with the England Under-18 squad for back-to-back friendlies against Russia today and Wednesday.
