Gyasi Zardes and John Brooks gave the States a two-goal lead during the first period in Kansas City with right-back DeAndre then entering the fray in place of Michael Orozco at the interval.

Gyasi added the States’ third goal before Christian Pulisic became the youngest goalscorer in the modern era for the USA with number four in the 69th minute.

Managed by Spurs legend Jurgen Klinsmann, the States kick-off their Copa America campaign against Colombia in the early hours of Saturday, June 4.
