The US trailed 1-0 and then 3-1 when DeAndre entered the fray at the Amsterdam Arena on 57 minutes.
The flying full-back provided a typical burst forward to provide the assist for John Brooks to make it 3-2 on 70 minutes, latching onto Michael Bradley's slide-rule pass and squaring for Brooks to tap home.
Danny Williams levelled it with a deflected shot on 88 minutes and DeAndre was well forward again when the US found the winner in injury time as Bobby Wood converted from close range.
DeAndre - pictured above celebrating with goalscorer Williams - collected his 16th cap in what was the USA's first win against Holland. The US now take on world champions Germany in Cologne on Wednesday.
